At Mercury we care a lot about our people. A thoughtful People team is a key part of attracting and taking care of our team. We are looking for someone who can build out and scale our People Partner team. The person who fills this role will help drive people and business initiatives across the company. This role is both hands-on and strategic, and provides expertise in the areas of employee relations, performance management, compensation, employee retention, coaching and development, conflict management, and will also take on ad hoc projects as necessary.Here are some things you’ll do on the job:Understand the business as a whole and act as a strategic thought partner to managers and leaders across the organizationPartner with and advise leaders and managers on all things people-related, such as performance management & coaching, employee relations, leveling processes and organizational developmentPartner effectively with People Partners and centers of excellence such as Learning & Development, Compensation, Recruiting, Talent Management and BenefitsWork with the People team to drive key talent processes for your client groups, such as annual performance reviews, talent planning, and compensation cyclesProactively identify opportunities and assess improvements to the employee experience, and partner with the HR team to develop and implement lasting solutionsEnsure employee inquiries are answered and/or properly routed in a timely mannerAnalyze various types of employee data (survey data, performance reviews, compensation data) to identify trends across Mercury and recommend solutions to improve performance and engagementIdeally, you’ll have some of the following qualities—but if you don’t fit this mold and feel like you could do a great job, we’d love to hear from you anyway:Have 2-5 years of direct experience as a People Partner or HRBP, preferably at a high growth, quickly scaling companyMaintain a high degree of professionalism - can interface with all levels of the organization as a primary point of contact for the teamBe willing to influence and advocate for philosophies you believe inBe passionate about tackling problems and solving them in a creative and thoughtful way Have a high level of integrity and the ability to handle confidential information discreetlyHave a ton of fun while doing everything aboveThe total rewards package at Mercury includes base salary, equity (stock options), and benefits.Our salary and equity ranges are highly competitive within the SaaS and fintech industry and are updated regularly using the most reliable compensation survey data for our industry. New hire offers are made based on a candidate’s experience, expertise, geographic location, and internal pay equity relative to peers.Our target new hire base salary ranges for this role are the following:US employees located in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area: $107,400 - $127,600US employees located outside of New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle or the San Francisco Bay Area: $96,700 - $114,850Canadian employees (any location): CAD 101,500 - 120,550We use Covey as part of our hiring and / or promotional process for jobs in NYC and certain features may qualify it as an AEDT.
