SUMMARY: As our VP of Business Development, you will be responsible for the organization of sales and marketing activities.
MUST HAVES: RF Microwave Technology Sales / Business Development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop sales strategies and forecast sales volumes across all markets, customers, and product lines. Report on and deliver annual order goals. Direct company market requirements, including product strategy, requirements analysis, and pricing. Oversee business plan development, product lifecycles, and market positioning. Convert broad business strategies into actionable customer and product marketing plans. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify customer needs. Establish pricing strategies. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to improve existing products. Lead new product definitions and develop joint business plans with departments. Evaluate and develop personnel to ensure functional efficiency. Provide leadership in planning, designing, and implementing strategic business initiatives. Define organizational vision, strategies, and tactical plans. Oversee and lead the Sales and Marketing team, including hiring, performance management, and budgeting. Drive organizational goals for revenue, profit, and long-term objectives, reporting to corporate management.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred. 7-10 years of experience in Sales and Marketing, particularly in RF Microwave Technology. At least 3 years of experience selling to space prime contractors and related markets. Experience in new space LEO markets preferred. Additional experience in developing non-space RF markets is a plus. 3+ years of experience leading and managing sales organizations. Proven track record of achieving sales and marketing goals in RF and microwave components. Ability to develop and implement corporate and organizational policies. Recognized leadership skills with the ability to influence across various departments and operations. Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex issues and provide strategic direction. Comprehensive understanding of functional areas, business strategies, and company goals. Ability to engage and negotiate with executive-level management, both internally and externally.
