My client is looking for a Director of Quality that will focus on ensuring that our client is able to safely deliver the best products to their customers and consumers.
Client Details Food & Beverage Manufacturing Company Description Quality Leadership Develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with company goals and regulatory requirements. Champion a culture of quality across the organization, from product development to production and distribution. Lead and mentor the Quality team, fostering professional growth and collaboration. Regulatory Compliance & Audits Ensure compliance with all relevant local, federal, and international food and beverage safety regulations (e.g., FDA, FSMA, HACCP, SQF, ISO standards). Oversee and coordinate internal and external audits, certifications, and inspections. Manage documentation and reporting for regulatory bodies, ensuring transparency and accuracy. Quality Assurance & Control Establish and oversee quality metrics, KPIs, and performance dashboards to monitor product quality and identify improvement areas. Develop and refine SOPs, GMPs, and quality testing protocols for raw materials, production processes, and finished goods. Investigate and resolve customer complaints and non-conformance issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to integrate quality standards into new product development and production processes. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw material quality meets or exceeds expectations. Provide guidance on continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean quality practices. Sustainability & Innovation Drive initiatives to enhance product sustainability, aligning quality processes with the company's environmental goals. Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, introducing innovative quality practices to improve efficiency and product excellence. Profile Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 10+ years of progressive quality management experience in the beverage or food manufacturing industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. In-depth understanding of quality assurance methodologies, regulatory compliance, and risk management in the Food or Bev industry. Expertise in food safety programs, such as HACCP, FSMA, and GFSI schemes (e.g., SQF, BRC). Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams. Proficiency in quality software and tools, as well as data analysis platforms.
