Why Epic The electronic health record (EHR) is foundational to the care we provide because it centralizes patient information, enabling informed decision-making and seamless care coordination. The EHR supports our ability to deliver high-quality, equitable, accessible care. ChristianaCare is excited to transition from Cerner to Epic as the EHR across our sites of care! This role is a HYBRID position requiring frequent on-site work. Must be within a commutable distance. Epic certification preferred; if not certified, must become Epic certified within 3 weeks of completing the mandatory Epic training sessions. Must be available to travel for Epic training the week of 3/31/2025. We are currently seeking an

Optime OR Analyst

to lead the successful configuration, implementation, and support of the Epic Optime module. This involves collaborating with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements, configuring the system to meet organizational needs, conducting thorough testing, developing and delivering training for end-users, and providing ongoing support post-implementation. The role ensures seamless integration with other Epic modules and systems, ultimately enhancing the efficiency and quality of operating room workflows and clinical practices. Responsibilities: Lead the implementation and configuration of the OpTime OR module ensuring it meets the specific needs of clinical departments.

Collaborate with clinical and operational stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the system meets their needs.

Customize the OpTime OR module to align with the clinical and operational requirements.

Coordinate with project managers, team members, and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project milestones.

Work closely with other Epic analysts, IT staff, and clinical teams to ensure seamless integration of the OpTime module with other Epic modules and systems.

Perform system configuration, including setting up surgical workflows, scheduling, and documentation processes.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to optimize the use of the OpTime module.

Conduct thorough system testing, validation, and troubleshooting to ensure the system meets quality and performance standards before go-live.

Develop training materials and participate in training sessions for end-users, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure effective use of the system.

Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for the system post-implementation, addressing user issues and concerns promptly.

Facilitate regular meetings and communication with stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics or a related field preferred.

2-3 years of experience working with Epic systems or similar EHR platform required.

High School diploma with 5 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of bachelor’s degree.

Epic OpTime OR Certification

preferred.
