About the Role : We are seeking a Data Center Technician to join our team at a leading technology company. The role involves ensuring overall availability and reliability of data center operations to meet defined service levels. This position may require participation in a primary responder rotation, monitoring infrastructure, coordinating response to incidents, and partnering with other teams to resolve issues impacting service availability. The role may involve evening, weekend, holiday, and night work to ensure global data centers operate reliably. Candidates should be able to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize tasks, communicate effectively, and react quickly to issues. Travel within and outside the regional work area is required, so a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver's license are necessary. Responsibilities:
Perform server rack installations, hardware break-fix, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents Participate in on-call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change management activities Assist in training and onboarding new team members Lift and move equipment up to 35 pounds, and participate in group lifts for heavier items Work in a 24/7 environment, participate in primary responder rotation, and provide after-hours support as needed Work in cramped, elevated, and noisy environments Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, and walk for up to 8+ hours a day Safely ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways Education Qualification:
High school diploma or equivalent required Technical certifications or relevant experience preferred Required Skills:
Experience with server rack installations and hardware break-fix Knowledge of troubleshooting network issues Ability to work in a 24/7 environment and participate in on-call duties Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to lift and move equipment as required Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle for travel within the regional work area Join our team and collaborate with professionals to deliver high standards of safety, security, and reliability to our customers at the lowest possible cost.
