Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Neuro and Trauma Care experience Job Description: - Work in a unit licensed for 815 beds, focusing on delivering high-quality clinical care. - Engage in a team-oriented environment with 95 staff members. - Provide clinical care in a 44-bed unit, maintaining patient ratios of 4:1 at grid and 5:1 when stretched. - Collaborate with daytime staff configuration of 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNA, and 1 HUC, and nighttime staff configuration of 2 CNC/Charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNA, and 1 HUC. - Conduct neuro and spinal assessments, perform procedures such as C-Collar placement, TLSO braces, chest tube management, PCA pump operation, IV infusions, lumber drains, feeding tube placement, and blood transfusions. - Operate equipment such as IV pumps, Skylifts, PCA pumps, chest tubes, trachs, and patient lifts. - Utilize the Cerner EMR system for documentation and patient care. - Provide coverage in floating areas, including stepdown and med-surg units. - Maintain a professional appearance adhering to dress code with navy blue scrubs. - Exhibit qualities of a team player and patient-focused care provider. - Work every other weekend as part of the schedule.
