Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

Manage receiving and delivery of raw materials, subcontract materials, scrap, and finished goods in a timely manner. Ensure accurate and efficient handling of all loading, unloading, and delivery to point of use. Utilize and support continuous improvement of functions and processes in the warehouse management system. Maintain a high level of organization in the warehouse, shipping, receiving, and scrap handling areas. Keep management informed of area activities and any significant concerns; identify problems and provide suggestions. Follow established and safety standards. Responsibilities Accurately pull parts for production areas and stock parts in warehouse locations. Perform cycle counting. Handle shipping and receiving of outgoing and incoming materials. Take pictures of finished railcar movers and load them into the network folder. Perform sub-assembly of hoses and hose kits. Maintain a clean and organized work area through daily 5S and maintain equipment accordingly. Comply with all stated safety requirements and company policies. Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and motorized equipment safely. Operate, load, and unload mobile rail car movers safely. Train new employees. Essential Skills 3-5 years of material handling experience. 1 year of inventory systems experience preferred. Experience using a computer for shipping and receiving. Forklift experience preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. Ability to use a pallet jack. Inventory management skills. General labor experience. The company manufactures mobile railcar movers sold to different railcar companies. The work environment is highly organized and safety-oriented, with daily 5S practices in place. The dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, and a t-shirt, with the company providing the rest of the PPE. The standard work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
