Compass is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sr. Administrative Assistant to support our Income and Property Tax functions. In this role, you will handle a variety of tasks including processing tax filings, maintaining tax files, managing office supplies, and coordinating team meetings. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of administrative experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Process tax filings - including coordinating officer signatures, payment processing, copying, scanning, and completing certified mail requirements where required
- Maintain income and property tax files, including assistance with ongoing digitization of records
- Process requests for W-9s
- Sort and distribute mail to department daily
- Process invoices, post journal entries and deposit tax refund checks
- Purchase and manage office supplies
- Coordinate team meetings
- Coordinate maintenance of departmental equipment (photocopier, fax, etc.)
- Manage income tax offsite file storage, including archiving and file retrieval
- Other administrative duties as needed
- Special projects, ad hoc reports as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5 plus years’ experience as an administrative assistant
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills are required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic, deadline driven environment
- Positive, can-do attitude; self-motivated
