GENERAL STATEMENT:
This position is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This role involves supervising HR staff, managing recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with employment laws, handling employee relations, supporting the organization's goals and ensuring a positive work environment. The HR Supervisor will oversee the administration of workers' compensation, benefit administration, employee leaves of absence, and accommodations for employees. This role ensures compliance with legal requirements, facilitates the proper processing of claims and leave requests, works closely with employees and managers to provide support in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with the Advisory HR Business Partner to develop, implement, and communicate new policies, procedures, and training programs that ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Work to align these initiatives with organizational goals, company standards, and legal requirements, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that all HR practices are efficient, effective, and consistently applied across the organization.
  • Manage core HR processes and programs in support of business goals by developing strategies to maximize the effectiveness of HR services to employees in partnership with different levels of the organization, including Management staff, front-line supervisors, and employees.
  • Oversee the workers' compensation process to ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies, working closely with insurance providers, medical teams, and leadership to ensure efficient claims management and identify strategies for reducing workplace injuries.
  • Manage employee leave programs, including FMLA, CFRA and ADA, by developing processes that ensure timely, compliant, and effective leave tracking, while collaborating with management and employees to support smooth transitions during absences and returns to work.
  • Manage the termination process in compliance with legal requirements and company policies, ensuring smooth execution and proper documentation, while conducting exit interviews and identifying opportunities for organizational improvement.
  • Ensure the organization’s adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws by developing and executing audit processes, maintaining updated policies, and preparing compliance reports for leadership to support informed decision-making.
  • Provide expert HR guidance to managers, assisting with employee relations, performance management, and termination processes, while offering strategic advice to help drive a productive and compliant workplace.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records for all HR-related matters, including workers' compensation claims, employee leaves, accommodations, and terminations, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the HR team, developing strategies to enhance team performance, encourage collaboration, and ensure the efficient execution of HR services that meet the organization’s needs.
  • Oversee the entire recruitment process, develop and implement hiring strategies, manage HR Recruiters, assist in sourcing candidates, conducting interviews and manage new hire onboarding.
  • Directs the administration of the company’s health and benefits program and annual open enrollment.
  • Oversees employee benefit administration including day to day employee inquiries, qualifying events and compliance with all HIPAA and ERISA regulations.
  • Maintain current knowledge of federal, state and local employment practices and labor laws. Role model ACME ethical standards, professionalism and code of conduct.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role focusing on employee relations, change management, recruitment, and total rewards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with HRIS systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position requires constant sitting or standing, some walking around, and occasionally lifting no more than 10 lbs.

At Acme Player Services, we understand the importance of attracting and retaining top talent. The expected base pay range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually plus comprehensive benefits. The base pay range reflects the target range for this position, but individual pay will be determined by additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and relevant education or training. Our benefits include health, dental and vision insurance benefits to ensure your well-being.
