Job Summary:
This position is for a Manufacturing Technician on Gimbal products primarily responsible for the assembly and test of Electronic Control Units. Works with manufacturing engineers in the development of assembly processes. Assists document writer in the generation of procedure and review procedures and datasheets for accuracy. Works independently on routine tasks and takes direction from lead technicians on problem resolution. Attention to detail.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Assembly of mechanical and electrical component into advanced assemblies.
Follow wiring diagrams to ensure consistent interconnections.
Build multiple configurations of product using Bill of materials, Work instruction and test procedures.
Provide written feedback on issues related to assembly and test of the product along with component and documentation defects.
Test and troubleshoot assemblies to the board level using basic test equipment such as calipers, Digital multi meter, Oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
Document results on discrepancy records.
Work with manufacturing engineers on New Product Introduction and conducting experiments.
Job Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED required, preferably from a Technical High School.
2-4 years' experience in mechanical manufacturing assembly.
Basic electrical knowledge of voltage, resistance and current.
Must have computer knowledge.
Ability to left 30 pounds routinely.
Preferred experience:
Familiar with connector/cable assembly - crimping and soldering.
PCB board handling and ESD knowledge.
Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
