Senior Accountant
who is passionate about making a difference. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to play a key role in the organization’s financial operations, with a focus on payroll administration (Paycom experience preferred) and other accounting functions. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Administration:
Process bi-weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely distribution. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. Manage general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close processes. Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) to ensure efficient and accurate processing. Assist in budget preparation, forecasting, and financial planning. Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and non-profit accounting standards. Support the preparation of materials for annual audits and work closely with external auditors. Maintain accurate records of restricted and unrestricted funds. Collaborate with the leadership team to provide financial insights and recommendations.
What You Bring to the Role: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the non-profit sector. Payroll processing experience required; familiarity with Paycom strongly preferred. Strong understanding of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles. Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
