Proficiency with cloud platforms, including the Azure Portal and AWS Management Console. Understanding of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), FedRAMP, and processes for achieving Authorization to Operate (ATO). Strong understanding of cyber threat patterns, indicators of compromise, and defenses. Experience with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM). Proficiency in automating administrative tasks using tools like PowerShell or scripting languages. Familiarity with both Windows and Unix operating systems. Bachelor s degree with 12 years of experience OR Master s degree with 10 years of experience. DUTIES Cybersecurity Technical Administrator ensuring the security and compliance of cloud-based systems hosted on Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS. Focuse on conducting security assessments, implementing technical controls, and managing cybersecurity operations to support enterprise applications. Willl be a proactive problem-solver with deep expertise in cloud security frameworks and a strong commitment to supporting mission-critical systems. Act as a SME on cybersecurity technology and market capabilities/trends. Conduct security scans on cloud-deployed infrastructure using the Army's Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and generate compliance reports. Validate technical security controls for operating systems, applications, and network appliances, providing recommendations for improvements. Review proposed configuration changes for potential security impacts and recommend mitigations. Operate endpoint-protection mechanisms, managing both high-level reporting and daily administration. Collaborate with technical and policy teams to implement, maintain, and monitor security configuration controls, including STIGs, SRGs, and other hardening guidelines. Support and manage the requirements for maintaining cloud-based Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO), Authorization to Operate (ATO), and security control inheritance capabilities. Use vulnerability scan results to develop operational plans for remediation and mitigation. Install, operate, and maintain the Army Endpoint Security System (AESS). Manage the ALTESS Cybersecurity training and certification program using the Army Training and Certification Tracking System. Assist customers in achieving and maintaining certifications such as Risk Management Framework (RMF). Review and document change requests, determining approval or denial based on security considerations. Update RMF artifacts such as system diagrams, hardware/software/firmware inventory, ports, protocols, and services lists. Regularly interact with stakeholders, including the Army CSSP, C5ISR, and customer ISSOs/ISSMs. Provide occasional support for on-premises systems in a remote capacity and participate in on-call duties as needed.
