Description

Maryland Wellness (formerly known as BACHS Healthcare) is seeking a compassionate, licensed (full or provisional) Mental Health Therapist to join our team across several of our Maryland locations. We have Full-Time, Part-Time, and Contract positions available! In this role, you will be responsible for supporting clients as they establish better cognitive, emotional, and social skills; develop coping strategies for navigating symptoms of mental health; and learn strategies to navigate life challenges while working towards long-term and short-term goals.

As a Therapist with Maryland Wellness, you will collaborate with your clients to develop and implement treatment goals using professional counseling standards that align with the client's diagnosis. Additionally, you will be tasked with monitoring and documenting progress towards these goals, collaborating with various members of the client's treatment team, assisting in urgent mental health matters as they arise, and referring clients to other available resources or types of care as appropriate. Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual, family, and group counseling sessions with clients.
  • Utilize evidence-based treatments that appropriately address the client's diagnosis and needs.
  • Diagnose clients based on individual history, symptoms, and behaviors utilizing ICD codes.
  • Identify needs and preferences of clients for treatment, and make recommendations for level of care, treatment goals, and needed services.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of all documentation, including (but not limited to): intake assessments upon admission, treatment plans (initial and ongoing), group and one-on-one notes (completed within 24-48 hours), referrals for various additional services, and discharge summaries.
  • Communicate regularly and consistently with staff members and its affiliate organizations in regards to scheduling, documentation, and client care.
  • Maintain scheduled client appointments based on agreed-upon schedule.
  • Assist with mental health emergencies as needed.
  • Be a positive representative of the organization by upholding standard messaging and its brand to clients, internal and external providers, referring partners, community affiliates, and any other external third party.
  • Attend scheduled meetings and trainings on-time as assigned; or make efforts to communicate any tardiness or absenteeism.
Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to effectively utilize professionally accepted interventions and evidence-based practices.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and therapeutic skills with the ability to effectively build relationships with individuals of all ages, ethnicities, education levels, and work experience.
  • Possesses a high level of respect for individual differences and multicultural diversity.
  • Understands and maintains confidentiality and all regulations regarding HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
  • Exhibits professionalism, a friendly demeanor, and is a positive representative of the company over the phone and in person.
  • Must remain adaptable to potential changes in client engagement level and encourage continuation of services for the client's therapeutic benefit.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with computers and technology as needed to input clinical documentation.
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills to manage multiple clients and scheduling.
  • Ability to deliver quality of care in line with the local, state, and federal government laws.
  • Ability to deliver quality of care in line with the policies and expectations of accreditation bodies such as CARF.
Required Experience, Education, & Certification/Licensure:
  • Minimum of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Addictions, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of experience with a diverse and/or underserved population in the field of mental health.
  • Required to be licensed to practice therapy in the state of Maryland.
  • LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LGSW, LCSW, LCSW-C, LGMFT, LCMFT, LGADC, LCADC, LGPAT, LCPAT
  • CPR and First Aid Certified.
  • Credentialed as an in-network provider for Medicaid or ability to be credentialed within six months of hire.

Salary Description

$70,000 - $85,000 per year
