Construction Superintendent

KRM Construction LLC is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage a new construction project from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the construction process, practical experience on construction sites, and excellent leadership skills. As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations and quality standards. You will serve as the key point of contact between project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. Your role will require strong organizational skills to coordinate multiple tasks, manage workforce schedules, and resolve any issues that arise on site. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all parties involved. Essential Functions:
• Establish and communicate expected safety standards / expectations and work in conjunction with field crews to ensure safety compliance
• Establish project logistics (laydown areas, utilities)
• Assist Project Manager with developing feasible schedules; progress meetings, material takeoffs; and monitor and communicate updates
• Responsible for day-to-day job site management and full understanding of projects
• Verify material deliveries and assist with sub-contractor invoice review
• Schedule reviews / updates, using two week look ahead approach
• Manage daily reports from subcontractors
• Maintain daily job reporting in Procore system and update progress photos as applicable
• Responsible for quality control / punch list
• Assist in problem resolution
• Verify time & material tickets
• Manage disposal services onsite
• Ensure timely completion and close out of the project
• Ensure the Owner is "Delighted"
Competencies:
• HS Diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role
• Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects simultaneously
• Deep understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices
• Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety guidelines
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with subcontractors and craft professionals
• Proficient in project management software and tools; and Microsoft Office/Google Suite
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
• Solid experience in schedule development and schedule management
• Proven understanding of the means and methods of construction associated with the build and/or renovation of residential buildings
• Goal oriented, deadline driven, and can react quickly to challenging circumstances to achieve the desired end results
• Highly entrepreneurial with the ability to work effectively with/without supervision
• Good driving record required
• Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, or stretching
• Must be available to address delays, emergencies, bad weather, and other issues at the jobsite.
Position will work on various sites in Maryland; including the Eastern & Western Shores and may also work in Delaware.
