Great pay Great benefits Room for career growth/advancementJob DetailsJob Details:We are currently seeking a Permanent Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This role provides a unique opportunity to leverage your technical expertise and passion for numbers to contribute to the financial growth and stability of our company. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, including cost and inventory accounting, preparing journal entries, and creating financial statements. You will also play a key role in implementing and optimizing our SAP system, and will be expected to utilize vlookups and pivot tables to analyze financial data and inform business decisions. Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes Help with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities and the annual corporate financial controls audit Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested Conduct cost analyses, rate studies and forecasts Direct and monitor the inventory management process Implement and work with a Business Intelligence Tool and Dashboard reports Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions Oversee financial data and compliance by maintaining accurate books on accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and daily financial entries and reconciliations Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analysesQualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a senior role Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems, including SAP Proficient in MS Excel, specifically with vlookups and pivot tables Experience in cost and inventory accounting in a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of manufacturing costing methods and inventory management Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is a plusThis is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional who is looking to make a significant impact on the operations and success of a leading manufacturing company.
