As the Area Pricing Manager, you will be responsible for preparing, maintaining, and monitoring local customer price records while supporting the Southeast area of the US Service Center Business. You will work with Field Sales Management to develop pricing strategies for local customers and provide education and support to Applied's sales associates at all levels of the organization to achieve corporate pricing goals. This position can be based in Cleveland, OH or any Applied location within the EST and CST time zones. Job Duties Collaborate with all stakeholders to develop local pricing strategy during the RFQ and/or RFP process. Work with the sales team to execute requested customer price updates in SAP. Serve as liaison with chargeback department and field associates to obtain pricing information and provide support. Carry out periodic reviews of customer's price records. Analyze and create reports using sales data to highlight areas where margin needs improvement. Work with assigned Service Centers to reduce price overrides while maintaining or improving gross profit margin. Proactively work with service centers in identifying and resolving pricing issues. Assist in special projects. Perform other duties as assigned or directed. Active involvement in continuous improvement of processes. Continuous development through reading, schools, seminars, and on-the-job training. Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent is required. 3-5 years of equivalent work experience is required. Fundamental understanding in pricing structures and techniques. Strategic thinker with strong business analytic skill sets including a high level of proficiency in Microsoft EXCEL with Microsoft ACCESS. Experience with SAP OTC and SAP Pricing Module is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
