The Deputy Director of CPD (DD/CPD) reports directly to the Director and, along with the Director, leads the entire Counterintelligence Program Division (CPD). CPD is charged with defending DHS, its personnel, assets, and programs against intelligence activities of Foreign Intelligence Entities (FIEs).
Specialized Experience:
To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as a majority of the following: Candidates must have specific counterintelligence experience in at least one or more of the following areas: (1) investigations; (2) operations; or (3) policy. Candidates should have experience as a supervisor. Candidates with experience across DHS (e.g., in a component other than HQs) will be preferred. Candidates should have significant general intelligence experience, a large part of which involves the counterintelligence disciplines. Candidates must have excellent writing and oral communication skills, be familiar with the structure and functions of the US Intelligence Community (IC), and be prepared to manage a workforce with varied skills and experience.
