SUMMARY

Reporting to the General Counsel, Chief Human Resources Officer, & Corporate Secretary, the Vice President, Total Rewards & HR Technology will focus on the design and execution of the Compensation, Benefits, Recognition and HRIS program as well as the oversight and support of the Total Rewards Team. The individual will provide overall strategic oversight and guidance for the company's approach to total rewards and HRIS programs and will develop and implement streamlined processes and practices while collaborating with the team, the legal department, and the business partners to achieve a compliant organization focused on customer service and business success. The ideal candidate should have a compliance mindset and desire to find simplicity within processes and practices to allow for collaboration and the achievement of business results in a fast-paced organization.

The VP, Total Rewards and HR Technology also serves as a key member of the global HR Leadership team, helping to set and execute the HR strategy for the organization.

The candidate should be able to communicate effectively with the business to understand their needs and to translate messaging that the business can utilize. They will have the ability to work with their peers across the Human Resources function to develop streamlined, simplified, and equitable compensation practices, support the benefit strategy and implementation, and help the business utilize technology effectively for compliance and business success.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leadership and development of team of HR professionals at all career levels.
  • Responsible for the on-going evaluation and execution of the Company's compensation and benefit programs, assessing the effectiveness and compliance of existing policies, guidelines, architecture and procedures.
  • Work with business leaders, Total Rewards team, and legal to create, align, and communicate Total Rewards programs that enable both short term and long-term business objectives that will help to attract and retain talent to deliver successful outcomes for our customers.
  • In collaboration with related departments, lead Compensation initiatives, including job architecture, salary surveys, conducting necessary analyses relative to compensation structures.
  • Design and deliver Total Rewards and HR Technology programs that are well-understood and valued by managers and employees; partner with the broader HR team to develop comprehensive communications and training materials.
  • Partner with Benefits vendors to ensure programs and plans meet the evolving needs of our workforce across all markets while working closely with the legal department to ensure programs are in compliance with all legal requirements.
  • As a part of the HR Leadership Team, collaborate to leverage knowledge of market conditions and competitive talent landscape while driving fairness and compliance in pay practices and policies including around hiring and talent reviews.
  • Oversee HRIS to ensure efficient HR Service Delivery and compliance through information systems.
  • Manage relationships and projects with external partners, consultants and vendors as it relates to Total Rewards & HRIS.
  • Proactively partner with Finance team on cost implications and savings opportunities related to Total Rewards and HR Technology.
  • Rewards & Recognition - Oversees/leads company reward and recognition program.
  • HR Compliance - Proactively assists, while working closely with legal, in identifying trends and strategies to meet objectives while remaining fiscally responsible and ensuring regulatory compliance including HIPPA, ERISA, COBRA, and FLSA. Monitors for the relevance, application, and adherence of key corporate policies and procedures and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations in coordination with legal.
  • Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and at times presentation of materials for the Covetrus Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Contributes to Covetrus HR strategy and provides insights and perspectives as part of the HR Leadership Team.
  • Other projects as may be assigned from time to time.

  • Subject Matter Expert and deep understanding of HR, Compensation, Benefits, & HRIS functions, processes, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day operations.
  • Highly organized with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and ability to attract, retain and develop a team.

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in HR or Total Rewards with at least 5 years at Director-Level.
  • Experience working across all levels of an organization, including Executive teams and Boards of Directors.
  • Experience working across global teams, maintains proficient knowledge of global Total Rewards and HR technology strategies, regulations and practices.
  • Experience leading and developing a team of HR professionals.

Certificates, License & Registrations

  • HR Certifications (PHR, SPHR, CCP, CBP, GRP, etc.) a plus.

Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. However, the pay range for this position is as follows: $196,800.00 - $365,600.00.
