A law firm in Washington, D.C., is seeking an experienced Federal Litigator on a project basis to handle litigation against the US Treasury Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients in federal court, providing legal advice, and navigating complex federal regulations.
Duties:
Represent clients in federal court, specifically handling litigation against the US Treasury Department.
Conduct legal research to analyze and interpret federal laws, regulations, and precedents.
Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs, to be submitted in federal court.
Collaborate with clients, experts, and other legal professionals to build strong cases.
Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on federal litigation matters.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Federal Litigator, with a minimum of 1-6 years of relevant experience.
Admission to the Bar in the District of Columbia.
Strong understanding of federal laws, regulations, and court procedures.
Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Active membership in good standing with the District of Columbia Bar.
