Data Engineer, Cell Formation

Tesla is looking for a Data Engineer to monitor, support, and develop the data infrastructure responsible for operating the formation process within Tesla Cell Manufacturing. In this role, you will work with the applications and pipelines which manage cells through the formation process, collect and store data from millions of cells, and calculate metrics from the raw data to be used for determining cell quality/performance. The role will work closely with the operations team in Austin to monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and build a system that can support a high-throughput manufacturing line. You will also interface with the software and data development teams to develop and deploy new features and ensure that critical production requirements are met. Cell formation is a data intensive manufacturing process and within this role, you will be working on the tools and pipelines which turn these raw data streams into critical cell quality and performance metrics.
