E&M Technologies, Inc. is currently seeking a System Administrator w/SharePoint Experience to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO in support of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)/United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Services (NITES). NORAD is a United States and Canada bi-national organization charged with the missions of aerospace warning, aerospace control and maritime warning for North America. Aerospace warning includes the detection, validation, and warning of attack against North America whether by aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles, through mutual support arrangements with other commands. Job Responsibilities: Install, configure, and maintain SharePoint farm environments (SharePoint Server 2016/2019/Online). Monitor and maintain SharePoint sites, libraries, workflows, and content management features. Administer SharePoint permissions, security settings, and user roles. Perform routine SharePoint farm health checks and diagnostics. Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues (performance, reliability, and security). Manage SharePoint upgrades, patches, and service packs. Configure and troubleshoot IIS web servers hosting SharePoint applications. Ensure proper IIS configuration for optimal SharePoint performance, including SSL configurations and web application settings Manage IIS logging, request handling, and diagnostics to ensure smooth operations of SharePoint services. Administer and support SQL Server databases used by SharePoint, ensuring optimal performance and availability. Perform regular backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning for SharePoint-related databases. Monitor SQL Server performance, query optimization, and troubleshoot database-related issues. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Applicable DoD 8140 or DoD 8570 Certification (Securityce or equivalent) and a Microsoft certificate Past work performance showing expertise in SharePoint administration, IIS configuration, SQL Server database management, and related technologies Familiarity with Oracle databases and experience in RDS and SQL Technology Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and ability to function without direct oversight Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context. Must be a U.S. Citizen Must have and be capable of maintaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance at the required level. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Server or equivalent legacy certificates MCITP, MCSE, MCSD, or MCSM Certifications ITIL V3 or V4 3 years of experience in SharePoint administration (SharePoint 2016, 2019, or SharePoint Online). 3 years of experience with custom coding (X)HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript Strong experience with IIS configuration and troubleshooting, including handling SharePoint web applications, SSL certificates, and performance tuning. Hands-on experience in SQL Server management (SQL Server 2016/2019), including database administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery. Familiarity with PowerShell scripting for SharePoint, IIS, and SQL Server automation.
