We currently have a full time/hybrid, Nurse Practitioner (MNA) / Physician Assistant position supporting our OB-GYN department at our Chelmsford location. Provides well women, prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and all-inclusive gynecological care within the scope of his/her practice. Complements the Ob/Gyn MD in providing care to women with moderately complex issues, both acute and chronic. Serves as a patient educator. Provides rounding on patients in the hospital as determined by the needs of the practice and call group. We offer superior staffing resources and a fully integrated EMR system.
Education
Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Must be nationally certified as an FNP or WHNP, graduate from an accredited master's degree NP program and possess state licensure to practice as an APRN. Current license to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Must possess and maintain, or be eligible for, Mass DPH Controlled Substance registration and DEA registration.
Physician Assistant (PA) - Must have national certification and Commonwealth of Massachusetts licensure as a Physician Assistant. NP/PA - Must possess and maintain, or be eligible for, Mass DPH Controlled Substance registration and DEA registration.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of ambulatory OBYGN experience preferred. Previous experience as a nurse practitioner in primary care preferred. Experience with an electronic medical records system, EPIC experienced preferred
Skills
Must exhibit strong critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal and good patient interviewing skills. Highly motivated and self-directed. Ability to interpret clinical information, assess the implication of treatment and develop and implement a plan of care. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a rapidly changing environment with multiple demands. Up to date with current standard of nursing care in Specialty. Demonstrated excellence in practice, documentation and utilization. Maintain high patient satisfaction. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong computer skills.
