We are seeking an IT Support technician for our Huntington, Indiana Plant.
Essential Job Functions:
Monitor and respond to support requests received via the helpdesk ticketing system, the IT Support telephone, and the IT Support email box. Install/upgrade all PC's and peripherals, ensuring proper configuration and network connection. Monitor critical systems (e.g. Active Directory, Email, Websites, SQL Databases, network and phone connectivity, backups) and initiate troubleshooting and repairs as necessary. Network Administration - including connectivity for routers, switches and firewalls. Provide IT support for user's, reporting computer or technical issues. Document, track, and monitor issues to ensure timely completion. Install new workstations using standard desktop applications and configurations. Perform upgrades to server and workstation hardware as needed. Maintain user account information including access rights, security and systems groups. Perform daily checklist of system status. Configure and maintain the Company's phone system. Initiate and coordinate to successful resolution various assigned IT. Technical projects and initiatives with Company, Suppliers and stakeholders. Monitor system capacity. Restore user files when required. Assist in the management of the Tape Backup and offsite storage process. Moving users - desktop computers, printers, phone configurations, asset management. May lead and direct the work of others. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
Ability to work non-standard hours as needed to perform system upgrades, maintenance and changes. MCSE or other Microsoft certifications desirable. Knowledge of Windows 2000/XP/2003/2007/2010 operating systems and MS Office versions. Knowledge of Windows 2000/2003/2007/20210 Server and Domain configurations. Knowledge of desktop and server networking. Knowledge of IP and digital Phone Systems. Must possess Network and Desktop troubleshooting skills. Must possess strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to document systems and processes and effective knowledge transfer to user's. Must have the ability to work independently or in a team environment. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Strong Customer Service Skills.
