$8,000 hiring/sign-on bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Perform Respiratory Care Services in accordance with departmental standards, policies and protocols.

The Senior Respiratory Therapist is expected to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of contemporary Respiratory Therapy principles. The Senior Respiratory Therapist should be a solid performer who is fully competent in all aspects of his/her job description. The Senior Respiratory Therapist possesses all of the core skills of an associate level Respiratory Therapist. He/she is expected to perform most job duties independently and in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures. He/she will collaborate with physicians and nurses in planning and implementing the patient plan of care. Completion of the department orientation program as well as unit-specific orientation is mandatory. This individual assists the physician with the delivery and direction of respiratory therapy. They may be qualified by training and experience to operate and maintain complex ventilatory support systems, monitoring and resuscitation devices, respiratory care procedures and patient assessments, diagnostic procedures and oxygen therapy. Activities may also include other patient care functions for which he or she is qualified. The Senior Respiratory Therapist is required to have birthplace, emergency medicine and ICU competency and may be routinely assigned to work in these units. They may have obtained additional national board certification(s) and may be responsible for training students and new hires.

Portland, OR Min: $36.71, Max: $58.10

Senior Respiratory Care Practitioner

Required Qualifications:

* Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy Or equivalent educ/experience * Upon hire: Oregon Respiratory Care Practitioner License * Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association * Upon hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association * Within 90 days of hire National Provider PALS - American Heart Association * Within 90 days of hire National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics * Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: AARC preceptor certification * 3 years Respiratory Therapist experience in acute care setting * 1 year Experience in Birth Center/Labor and Delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree AMA accredited school of Respiratory Therapy.
