Piper Companies is seeking
a Network Architect
to join an established Electronics Manufacturing company. This is a
hybrid
position and would require you to be
onsite 3 days
a week in
Atlanta, GA
. The Network Architect is responsible for designing and optimizing scalable, secure, and high-performance network solutions while leading cross-functional collaboration to meet current and future business needs.
Responsibilities of the Network Architect:
Design and implement resilient network architectures, including creating detailed blueprints and standards. Lead large-scale network projects from concept to execution, ensuring timely delivery and budget alignment. Develop and enforce network security policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems. Monitor and optimize network performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and vulnerabilities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network strategies with organizational goals and provide technical expertise. Qualifications of the Network Architect:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a Network Architect or in a similar role within large-scale environments. Extensive knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and hands-on experience with network hardware and software. Proficiency in network security practices, including firewalls and VPNs. Experience with cloud networking solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments. Relevant certifications such as CCIE, CISSP, or equivalent preferred. Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex projects. Familiarity with SDN, NFV, and network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) is a plus.
Compensation for Network Architect:
Salary:
$170,000-$220,000 depending on experience
