Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with extensive experience in data modeling, integration, governance, and security. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake architecture and its components, including hands-on experience with data objects like databases, procedures, tasks, and streams. You will be responsible for managing high-availability data deployments, optimizing query performance, and ensuring the security of data in a Snowflake environment. This role requires strong technical writing and diagramming skills, experience working in an agile environment, and familiarity with healthcare-related data like PII, PHI, and HL7.
Key Responsibilities: Data Architecture and Modeling: Design and implement data models and data warehousing solutions using Snowflake and other relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL). Data Integration: Oversee data integration tasks using tools such as Informatica and Azure Data Factory (ADF) for seamless ETL/ELT processes. Snowflake Object Management: Manage Snowflake objects such as databases, procedures, tasks, and streams. Leverage Snowflake cloning capabilities for databases and schemas. Performance Optimization: Manage and optimize Snowflake Warehouses for efficient query execution and system performance. RBAC Implementation: Implement Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) in Snowflake, managing roles, privileges, and security policies. SSO & Identity Management: Integrate Single Sign-On (SSO) and SCIM for secure access and identity management in Snowflake. Automation: Automate administrative tasks using Snowflake SQL and scripting languages like Python or Shell scripting. Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Use tools to monitor and troubleshoot Snowflake environments, tracking usage, profiling queries, and identifying performance bottlenecks. Security Management: Ensure data security through features like data masking, encryption, and network policies in Snowflake. Agile Development: Participate in agile sprint teams and manage tasks using tools like JIRA. Reporting & Analytics: Develop reports in Cognos Analytics 11.1 and contribute to the visualization and analysis of business-critical data. Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize, execute, and deliver projects on time and with high quality. Required Qualifications:

Strong technical writing and diagramming skills, with proficiency in tools such as Visio, Erwin, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems for managing Snowflake code deployments. Experience with Informatica 10.5 and Cognos Analytics 11.1 for reporting and data integration. Prior experience working with HHS agencies or in healthcare-related data environments. Azure experience for cloud-based data solutions and integrations.
Certifications (if any):
Snowflake Certified Data Engineer or similar Snowflake-related certifications.
Informatica or Azure certifications.
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, etc.).
