Your Key Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Piping Estimator, you will:
Estimate mechanical piping costs for a variety of commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Work closely with project teams, including engineers, VDC (BIM) designers, schedulers, foremen, customers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution. Review plans, perform material take-offs, and prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical piping systems. Manage RFIs, change orders, and submittals to ensure project success and client satisfaction. Provide support and mentorship to junior team members while collaborating with Senior Project Managers.
Your Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you should have:
5 Years of HVAC Estimating / Project Management Experience:
Strong background in mechanical piping estimation and project management. Diverse Project Portfolio:
Experience in commercial, industrial, and institutional mechanical/piping/HVAC projects. Estimation Expertise:
Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates, review specifications, and manage bids and proposals. Industry Awareness:
Knowledge of current industry trends and standards to remain competitive. Bachelor’s Degree
preferred in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Effective Communication Skills:
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for working with teams and clients. Code and Specification Knowledge:
Familiarity with energy codes, project specifications, and local building codes. Organizational Skills:
Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records of completed estimates.
