Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager for a new construction project in Tysons, VA. This suburban mid-rise apartment development will feature over 400 units.
The Assistant Project Manager will support the Project Manager in various tasks, including job start-up, project buy-out, subcontractor management, drawing interpretation, implementing QA procedures, and addressing daily field issues, along with other responsibilities.

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager for a new construction project located in Tysons, VA. This development will consist of over 400 units in a suburban mid-rise apartment building. The Assistant Project Manager will play a key role in supporting the Project Manager across several critical tasks, including job start-up, project buy-out, and subcontractor management. Additionally, the position involves interpreting construction drawings, implementing quality assurance procedures, and addressing day-to-day field issues, among other responsibilities. Description
The Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily Construction - DC Metro will be responsible for:
Assisting the Project Manager with project start-up, buy-out processes, and ongoing project management Overseeing subcontractor coordination, administration, and performance Interpreting construction drawings and implement quality assurance procedures Resolving daily on-site issues and maintain effective communication with stakeholders Monitoring project schedules, budgets, and work plans using Procore software Collaborating with the team to ensure key project milestones (buy-out, top-out, first turn, and close-out) are met Supporting safety protocols and contribute to fostering a culture of safety and accountability on-site
Profile The Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily Construction - DC Metro will have:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred) Over 4 years of experience in multi-family and/or commercial building projects Previous experience with a developer or construction management firm is preferred Proficient in Procore project management software In-depth knowledge of multifamily residential construction, with a focus on mixed-use or high-density projects Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
