Echo Lake Foods is a growing organization, seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. This position requires a knowledgeable and professional individual who works well with all types of employees.

Main Responsibilities Include:
Plan, direct, and coordinate all Food Safety and quality assurance programs at the plant.
Formulate and make changes to food safety and quality assurance programs.
Lead all regulatory, SQF and customer audits in conjunction with the Corporate Manager r of Technical Affairs.
Enforce, with Plant Management, all Food Safety and quality assurance programs at the plant.
Oversee the sanitation program through a Sanitation Supervisor at the plant.
Ensure all products and EMP samples are sampled according to written company policies.
Maintain all FSMA Food Safety (FDA) and GFSI (SQF) documentation at the plant. (USDA documentation for Huntington only).
Ensure that all FSMA Food Safety (FDA) regulations and GFSI (SQF) programs are being followed at the plant with Plant Management. (USDA regulations also for the Huntington plant only).
Develop and execute continuous improvement projects to grow Food Safety and quality assurance focus among plant personnel.
Create and Coordinate corrective & preventive action plans as appropriate at the plant.
These job requirements are the major Quality Assurance Manager’s responsibilities, however other duties pertaining to the Food Safety, Quality Assurance and Sanitation programs at the plant may be modified as appropriate.
Experience and Education: Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry or other related technical degree.
3-5 years of experience with directing and/or managing the Food Safety and quality assurance department within a food manufacturing facility (QA Manager).
Experience with USDA regulations. (HUNTINGTON PLANT ONLY)
Experience with FSMA and FDA regulations.
Must be PCQI, SQF and HACCP certified.
Knowledge and experience of sanitation programs and processes in a food manufacturing plant.
Experience and knowledge of microbiological analyses of food products.
Experience in problem solving Food Safety and quality assurance issues in a food plant.
