JOB SUMMARY:
The Vice President of Retail Operations will oversee and lead all aspects of a companys retail operations. They play a critical role in developing and implementing retail strategies, driving business growth, and ensuring the overall success of the companys retail division. The Vice President of Retail reports directly to the CRO and collaborates with other senior executives to align retail goals with the companys overall vision.
JOB DUTIES:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Retail Strategy and Vision:
Develop and execute the companys retail operations strategy, aligning it with the organizations overall goals and objectives.
Set a compelling vision for the retail division and provide strategic direction to achieve business growth and profitability.
Performance Monitoring:
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for retail operations, assessing performance, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Financial Management:
Oversee the financial performance of the retail operations department, managing budgets, expenses, and revenue.
Retail Expansion and Growth:
Evaluate potential markets and opportunities for retail expansion and develop plans to enter new markets or open new stores.
Enhance and execute on New Store opening processes that are scalable and repeatable.
Develop a comprehensive playbook for all future retail mergers and acquisitions. Ensuring seamless integration.
Store Operations and Excellence:
Ensure that store operations and processes are optimized to provide an exceptional customer experience.
Implement best practices and operational efficiencies across all retail locations.
Merchandising and Product
Collaborate with buying and planning to develop a merchandising team to curate product assortments that meet customer demand and drive sales.
Ensure all locations have the best representation of our planned assortment through guided merchandising efforts.
Retail Payroll Management:
Implement and oversee Payroll best practices for a retail organization while considering customer engagement as well as fiscal responsibility.
Retail Learning and Development
Work to install best in class cannabis retail training for all employees.
Enhance all aspects of retail development through guiding the organization through a shift into results-based learning with accountability tracking for the organization.
Team Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and partner the retail management team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
Customer Relations:
Prioritize customer satisfaction and continuously enhance the customer experience in retail stores.
Business Expansion and Acquisitions:
Evaluate potential retail business acquisitions or partnerships to support growth strategies.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises Director Retail Operations, Director New Store Openings & Director Learning & Development/Training.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Retail Management, or related field (Preferred).
10+ years of progressive experience in retail operations, inventory management, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven track record of driving operational efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction in a retail environment.
Experience in managing large teams, multi-location operations, and inventory control.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and analyzing P&L statements.
Demonstrated ability to lead change, streamline operations, and improve processes using data and technology.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders.
Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to solving complex operational issues.
Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute in a fast-paced environment.

Employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; employee is frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel; employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear.
