We are seeking an experienced and passionate R&D Manager to lead the development of our Pectin-based Gummy products. This dynamic role is perfect for an individual who loves the challenge of developing new products and improving existing ones in the confectionery and nutraceutical industry. As the R&D Manager, you will be directly involved in the creation and innovation of gummies infused with vitamins, hemp, and THC. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a significant impact on our company's product line.
Responsibilities:
Lead the R&D department in the design, development, and improvement of pectin-based gummy products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful launch of new products, meeting all quality, cost, and timeline objectives. Drive innovation by identifying new product opportunities based on market trends, consumer insights, and technological advancements. Oversee the testing and validation of new product concepts, ensuring they meet all regulatory, safety, and company standards. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners including ingredient suppliers and co-manufacturers. Work closely with production teams to ensure smooth transition from product development to commercial production. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing products, recommending modifications as necessary. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and regulatory changes that could impact product development.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in R&D within the confectionery or nutraceutical industry, with a focus on pectin-based gummy product development. Proven experience in developing and launching new products, from concept to commercialization. In-depth knowledge of food production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of food products. Familiarity with the regulatory environment for food products, including those infused with vitamins, hemp, and THC. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Passion for innovation and a drive to stay updated on industry trends and advancements.
