Description General program information and/or position overview:The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a User Experience Lead to work onsite in Doral, Florida and have the opportunity to oversee the technical execution of IT and Cyber Services programs supporting the United States Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM) Cyber Information Technology Enterprise Services (SCITES) 2 contract. The User Experience Lead will ensure the successful implementation and sustainment of cyber-informed IT solutions that support full-spectrum operations across USSOUTHCOM's Area of Responsibility (AOR), which includes Central and South America and select Caribbean nations. This role requires a combination of technical leadership, engineering expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse mission partners.Primary Responsibilities: Lead efforts to improve the user experience across USSOUTHCOM's Enterprise, including OCONUS locations.Implement user experience monitoring capabilities across the SOUTHCOM supported networks to provide proactive response to user challenges. Provide design and engineering input for capability implementations to ensure the users requirements are a high priority consideration of the new or updated implementation. Develop and maintain cyber-informed architectures, ensuring all engineering activities include robust configuration and change management to secure mission-critical systems. Collaborate with program management to align technical solutions with operational needs and strategic goals, driving proactive decision-making. Utilize innovative technologies and emergent UX solutions to meet identified capability gaps, reduce total cost of ownership, and enhance mission capability. Ensure UX solutions comply with DoD regulations, USSOUTHCOM policies, and industry best practices.?Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Minimum 12 years experience in user experience, UI development, software development, system design, system engineering, cybersecurity or other related work experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital user experience roles, with a focus on C5IM systems Must currently hold and be able to maintain a Secret security clearance Experience leading design and implementation of solutions in a DOD compliant environment. Proven ability to lead teams in high-stakes, mission-critical environments, including OCONUS deployments. Ability to travel as needed within the USSOUTHCOM AOR. Experience with enterprise monitoring capabilities like Aternity and ScienceLogic.Preferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in UX Design, IT, or Engineering. Experience supporting combatant commands or other defense organizations. Knowledge of USSOUTHCOM’s mission, strategic goals, and command structure.Excellent bilingual communication skills (English and Spanish), with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to senior leadership and diverse stakeholders.Key Competencies: ?Technical Leadership: Strong ability to provide strategic direction and technical leadership for IT and cyber engineering initiatives.
