Job NP/PA General Surgery Location: York, PA 1099 Locums Position Coverage Need Details: Need 2 providers to who can cover floor management, consults, ER admissions and be first assistant in general surgery cases. Privileges Available: Full Privileges, 60-90 days EMR/Charting: Epic Types of Calls: 30min Response; Beeper Will Candidate Work Solo: No On Call: Yes Average Admissions While On Call: 0 100% Adult Schedule: Fri 4p-7a, Sat-Sun 7a-7a with rounding 7a-12p Estimated Shifts/Month: 20 avail between 2 providers Verifying schedule with client regarding any needs during the week Providers Typical Day: Floor Management of patients: responsible for daily rounds on patients including placing orders, progress notes and communications with attendings and nursing staff regarding daily plans. Discharging patients, including appropriate instructions, summaries and orders Preforming daily bedside procures and tasks such as dressing changes, removal of drains/ NGTs Consults/ ER admissions Responsible for seeing consults in the ER or admitted to another primary service. Able to preform a comprehensive physical exam and evaluation. Communication with on call attending regarding operative planning. Appropriate documentation and orders. Operative Serve as a first assistant in general surgery cases. Able to efficient assist in open, laparoscopic and robotic cases.
