Job Title: System Administrator - Technology Reports to: Assistant Director of Technology Work Schedule: Full time position (1.0 FTE) - 260 days - 8 hours per day Salary: Salary Schedule 05 - C - Exempt 3 https://www.msd25.org/o/District/page/employee-groups Account code: 9700-72-3110-0000-5200-0000-0 Position Goal: The IT System Administrator will work in a collaborative small team environment with a diversity of products and services. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner who is able to perform a wide variety of technical tasks and is energized by cross team and platform problem solving. The IT System Administrator will be managing Active Directory, Google Apps Domain, Microsoft Azure, network routers and switches, wireless, Windows Servers, VMware servers and a VoIP PBX. Minimum Qualifications: Three (3) years performing duties of a system administrator, preferred. B.S. in a computer field or equivalent experience CompTIA A certification, preferred. CompTIA Network certification, preferred. Windows Server administration Server hardware and software troubleshooting skills An Understanding of Active Directory and group policies Experience with Google Apps Knowledge of Azure Directory services Able to configure, troubleshoot and deploy enterprise switches and routers An understanding of VoIP PBX configuration Experiencing with VMware virtual environments Central WiFi management and troubleshooting experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Possess a valid Washington State driver's license Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance Proof of Immunization (if born 1/1/57 or later) I-9 Employment Eligibility in compliance with the Immigrations Reform and Control Act Completion of all district-required training within thirty (30) calendar days from hire date Desired Skills: Analytical thinker with the ability to maintain systems Ability to remain flexible and work effectively and efficiently under pressure and with continuous interruptions Demonstrated ability to maintain professional relationships with the educational community Demonstrated ability to remain flexible when working with the rapidly changing technology field Demonstrated ability to remain confidential and apply ethical standards to diverse situations Demonstrated ability to problem solve and think critically when organizing and prioritizing district technology goals Active Listener and Problem Solver Demonstrated ability to turn action items and tasks into action steps while demonstrating follow through Cultural Responsiveness. Ability to work effectively as part of a team with diverse personalities Essential Job Functions: Manage users and groups in Active Directory, Google and other products Perform basic and advanced administrative tasks in a VoIP PBX environment Administer both physical and virtual servers running Windows Server Troubleshoot various issues with Mac, Windows, and Chrome devices Plan and perform upgrades and migrations of server operating systems Configure, install and replace network switches Identification and mitigation of security vulnerabilities Willing to learn and serve as a backup to other IT staff Comply with all district policies and procedures Comply with the Code of Professional Conduct Perform related duties as assigned Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
