Warehouse Manager – Commissary Facility

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Manager to oversee operations at our Commissary Facility in Anchorage, AK. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring product quality, optimizing distribution, and driving profitability. If you have strong leadership skills and a background in managing production and distribution, this is your opportunity to lead a vital part of our operations.

• Salary range: $68,000 - $80,000 (Depending on Experience).

Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Workforce Management: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise employees to create a motivated and efficient workforce. Develop schedules to optimize staffing for production and distribution needs.
• Operational Management: Oversee production and distribution processes to ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness. Maintain equipment and implement operational procedures to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Distribution & Logistics: Ensure accurate and on-time delivery of products to stores. Optimize routing and loading procedures while monitoring inventory to meet demand and minimize waste.
• Compliance & Safety: Maintain compliance with FDA, OSHA, and state regulations. Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety training.
• Financial Performance: Manage the facility’s budget to meet or exceed profitability goals. Analyze expenses and negotiate vendor contracts for cost-effective operations.
• Communication & Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to align operations with company objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of management experience in a production or distribution facility (required).
• Experience managing a commissary, warehouse, or similar facility (preferred).
• Knowledge of baking and food distribution processes (highly desired).
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory/logistics management software.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Must work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, including freezers, coolers, and production equipment areas.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and climbing.
