About the team

As a Software Development Engineer on Robotic Storage Technologies(RST) solutions, you will be part of an exciting, diverse team that is responsible for developing and deploying full-stack software systems using AWS that are scalable, reliable and performant, is obsessed over its customers at its core and its solutions impact thousands of users for every minute of their working day! Our solutions are intuitive, inclusive, accessible and obsess over our customers at their core and impact how Amazon’s fulfillment technologies will be reimagined for years to come.

The mission of this team is to deliver production quality software at Amazon scale with AI at the core. You will work cross-functionally to develop pioneering applications in a highly exciting and innovative environment. As a Software Development Engineer (SDE) on the team, you will own software applications and systems that enable human and robotic fulfillment at scale. As an SDE you will make meaningful impact on fast moving, next generation fulfillment technologies by leading design and development efforts for critical and complex systems spanning multiple software and hardware teams. Working backwards from customer needs, you will identify the right technologies to achieve high customer experience standards. You will coach and mentor other engineers to foster a culture of relentless high-standards and will partner cross-functionally to develop pioneering applications in a highly exciting and innovative environment.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
