What does this role look like? Join our contracts management team and become a part of something special in support of our classified missions. Our team needs an individual who can exercise initiative, participate in strategy development, and work independently in a complex contracting environment. This role requires a strong understanding of contracts management practices in order to support the full contract lifecycle...from proposal preparation through submittal, negotiations, execution, and closeout.
This role will offer you the following daily challenges: •Providing support to a portfolio of contracts and new business proposals that are primarily focused on operations and sustainment as well as agile software development. •Serving as business consultant to management on significant matters relating to contract policies, program performance, and long-range company goals and objectives. •Coordinating with other internal functions such as program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to develop solutions to contractual issues and address customer concerns. •Ensuring portfolio compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and facilitate team adherence to the Delegation of Authority requirements for proposals and other contractual actions. •Serving as an authorized, empowered representative for the Company as the primary interface with Customer buying representatives.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college with 4+ years or more of professional experience; or 2+ years of professional experience with a Masters degree; or equivalent experience in lieu of degree. - US Citizenship required, candidate must hold a clearance and successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired skills
- Experience collaboratively interfacing with diverse disciplines such as Program Management, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Property, and Business Development - Experience with negotiating and managing various contract types (FFP, FPAF/IF, CPAF/IF, OTA, T&M, IDIQ) - Experience with building strong, positive customer relationships - Experience with communicating across varied audiences, including written, spoken, and presentation preparation - Direct experience with contract management, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry - Experience with special access programs - Professional certifications such as Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) are a plus. - Strong analytical and critical thinking skills - US Citizenship required, candidate must hold a Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible), and successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. - Working knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS)

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $74,700 - $143,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered:
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
