LinQuest is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to join our team in El Segundo, CA.

LinQuest is the prime contractor on the MSEIT contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for LinQuest employment. However, you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.

The MSEIT (MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test) team in support of SSC (Space Systems Command) in El Segundo is seeking an individual to provide Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity support for the MILSATCOM Capability area. The MILSATCOM portfolio of programs has an ongoing need for IA/Cybersecurity support, to meet the needs of our emerging next-generation protected SATCOM.

The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Air Force’s Space and Missiles System Center. We support the Air Force’s acquisition of state of the art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems.

Responsibilities:

End Crypto Unit (ECU) development and certification on Protected Tactical programs.

Interface with contractors and NSA regarding certification of multiple program ECUs.

Oversee cryptography related changes to technical baseline.

Manage crypto-related risks.

Lead cryptographic requirement tracing to mission threads.

Required Skills and Experience:

6+ years Crypto Systems Engineering experience

Experience with Protected Tactical programs

BS Engineering

OCSMP Level 2 Certification

Systems Engineering, to include cyber security and cryptography

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Use of JIRA & Confluence

You must be authorized to work in the US and able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance for this position

Preferred Skills and Experience:

MS Systems Engineering

Compensation:

The salary for this position ranges from approximately $110,000 to $150,000 depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
