Our team enables Customer Service by developing elegant Customer and Customer Service Associate (CSA) facing products that empower effortless self-service and automation while holding a high security bar for access to customer data. We build and own IAM (Identity & Access Management) technologies including Authentication and MFA, role- and attribute-based authorization platform, and access governance systems. We truly own the full stack security software, from webstack to distributed security infrastructure to self-service & operations, living in a multi-dimensional world of delivering for customers, addressing risks and continually making our products and experiences more secure.

We’re seeking Software Development Engineers to drive the next generation of Authentication (for Customer Services Associates and retail customers both,) solving problems for which there are no off-the-shelf solutions. In this role, you’ll be working with a group of strong engineers in pursuit of timely and secure authentication on top of effective data sovereignty, compliance with regional privacy regs, integration with a wide array of applications and services and delivery of a fantastic customer experience.

The team owns multiple high-availability, low-latency services (Tier-1) and hold ourselves accountable to rigorous service-level objectives and design & code quality standards. Our tech stack ranges across numerous AWS public offerings and includes Java, Fargate, Typescript, DynamoDB, Lambdas, SQS, SNS and more.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
