The role
SoFi is looking for an experienced production studio manager to help manage and grow our in-house production studio, support our post-production staff, and manage projects for our internal production team. Approximately 65% of your time will be spent managing production studio scheduling, resources, technical and equipment needs, and 35% will be spent on actively managing projects. This position requires that you be available to work in our edit studio within our SF Headquarters office on a regular basis.
This role requires working knowledge of equipment, technical and software requirements needed in order for a production studio to run smoothly. It also requires that you have demonstrable experience with project management, video, audio production and post-production processes. You also feel comfortable supporting our production team by doing light studio work, like prepping drives or offloading footage.
Responsibilities:
- Coordination of our production studio’s scheduling
- Helping to evaluate and build scalable hardware, software solutions to fulfill current requirements and future opportunities
- Help manage studio operations, equipment, and technology, ensuring everything is in optimal condition for productions.
- Management and archive of production materials and agreements
- Source, manage and maintain freelance resources
- Working collaboratively with our cross-functional partners and other departments to plan and prioritize marketing and advertising projects, and produce materials with our talented production team.
- Manage technical upkeep of our in-house press rooms for C-level press opportunities
- Ensure all content meets the organization’s standards for quality and compliance with legal and regulatory guidelines.

- Integrated campaigns (web, email, digital media)
This role reports to our Senior Director of Creative Operations. As part of our internal creative studio and brand strategy teams, you’ll be involved in influential and exciting creative campaigns, work with an incredibly supportive team, and produce materials that help our members get their money right.
What you’ll do:
- Help to develop and manage start to finish production processes within our production studio
- Experience working with C-level staff
- Lead and handle communications and workflows, ensuring effective exchange of information and accurate asset delivery
- Navigate simultaneous project requests, prioritize resources appropriately, and help find a solution for associated challenges
- Evaluate projects and anticipate risks that may arise, develop solutions, and manage stakeholders' expectations accordingly
- Source, manage and negotiate with outside production vendors, and act as the supply relationship owner (SRO’s) per our legal team’s requirements
- Source and manage a stable of freelance and contractor partners in order to scale up, or provide specialized services based on project requirements
- Develop and maintain project schedules, workflows, and house projections within our project management software
- Manage projects from request through to delivery, including scheduling, and gaining approvals from all stakeholders including our legal and compliance teams
- Oversee daily production studio process, ensuring all partners are informed and part of the process
- Catalog, monitor and maintain our production studio hardware and software
What you’ll need:
- 3+ years of working experience acting as a production studio manager or producer with equivalent experience.
- Confidence keeping digital paperwork up to date
- Confidence with learning and navigating corporate software platforms for resource onboarding and management and IT support
- Demonstrable expertise in video/TV creation and production processes
- Experience producing multiple types of creative assets in various formats
- Production hardware and software savvy
- You have an established network of high-quality creative, production, photography and freelance agency partners
- Experience handling multiple vendor relationships
- Demonstrate deep familiarity with project planning, effective resource management and solid production decisions, and their effect on both creative output and your cross-functional partner’s requirements
- Excel at managing expectations and are able to identify and articulate alternative solutions when changes arise
- Ability to work comfortably in a very fast-paced, nimble environment
- Ability to be flexible with change, and work with people possessing widely diverse working and communication styles
- Highly organized with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent time and prioritization skills
- Understanding of creative studio processes, with creative advertising agency experience
- Skilled in asset management
Nice to have:
- Experience in Fintech or Financial industry is a plus
- Both production company and advertising agency experience is preferred
- Proficiency in Workfront (and other project management tools) is a plus
- Working knowledge of Adobe Cloud Service software and other post-production software a plus
