Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Proposal Specialist to join our team at Virtucom, a leader in K-12 educational technology solutions. In this role, you will play a critical role in the proposal development process, ensuring timely, high-quality submissions that align with client needs and our company's mission to transform education through technology. The Proposal Specialist will collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product, and operations teams to create compelling, customized proposals for school districts, state agencies, and educational organizations.
Requirements
Coordinate and manage the end-to-end proposal development process, ensuring compliance with all requirements and deadlines. Review Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other solicitation documents to identify key client needs and deliverables. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information, data, and content for proposals. Write, edit, and format proposal responses to create clear, compelling, and persuasive submissions. Maintain a proposal library with standard content, templates, and past proposals to streamline future processes. Track proposal-related metrics, including win rates and feedback, to inform continuous improvement. Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activities, and client priorities to enhance proposal strategies. Ensure all proposals reflect the company's branding, values, and commitment to advancing education through technology. Key Qualifications & Skills:
Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, English, or a related field. Experience : No experience is required, but any direct work experience with K-12 education systems and technology solutions is a strong plus. Also, any experience writing or editing professionally is a strong plus. Technical Skills : Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with integrating graphics into desktop publishing software. InDesign or Adobe CC experience is a plus. Soft Skills : Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail. Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams. The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Other Attributes : Ability to interpret complex technical information and translate it into clear, customer-centric messaging. A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and find creative solutions. Commitment to the company's mission of enhancing K-12 education through innovative technology. Benefits:
