The Desk Side Technician will be responsible for providing on-site technical support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware and software systems. This role involves troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of IT equipment, as well as providing excellent customer service.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
• Proven experience as a Desk Side Technician or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems
• Familiarity with network protocols and configurations
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Certifications:
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus
IT Deskside Technician Roles and Responsibilities:
• Provide on-site technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including operating systems and applications
• Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment and software
• Assist with network connectivity issues and ensure proper network configurations
• Perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems
• Document and track issues using a ticketing system
• Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues
• Provide training and support to end-users on IT-related topics
• Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures
