Job Description:
DrBalcony is a fast-growing civil engineering start-up focused on creating innovative solutions in the balcony and structural industry. We are looking for an experienced and strategic Manager of Marketing and Social Media to shape our external communications and brand image as we continue to scale. The PR Manager will be responsible for managing media relations, crafting compelling narratives, and driving public awareness of our projects, innovations, and company values.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, building relationships with media outlets, and generating positive press coverage that reflects our mission. As the PR Manager, you will collaborate closely with leadership, marketing, and engineering teams to align messaging with our company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an overall public relations strategy to build brand awareness and strengthen DrBalcony’s public image.
- Manage all media relations, including press releases, media inquiries, and interviews.
- Cultivate strong relationships with journalists, industry influencers, and key stakeholders in the civil engineering and construction sectors.
- Create compelling content such as press releases, articles, speeches, and case studies that highlight DrBalcony’s innovations and expertise.
- Lead crisis communication efforts, ensuring the company is prepared to manage any negative publicity swiftly and effectively.
- Monitor industry trends, media coverage, and competitor PR strategies to adjust and refine the company's PR efforts.
- Plan and execute public-facing events, conferences, or press tours that increase brand visibility.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure PR efforts align with overall marketing campaigns.
- Track and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns and media coverage, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Serve as the company’s spokesperson when needed and prepare company executives for public engagements.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in public relations, preferably in the construction, engineering, or technology sectors.
- Proven success in managing media relations and securing positive media coverage.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with media, stakeholders, and partners.
- Experience in crisis communications and media training is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Proficiency with PR tools and software for social media marketing, both monitoring and reporting.
- Knowledge of digital PR strategies and social media engagement is a must.
- Creating content that catches algorithms for media platforms.
