Seeking Pediatric Hospitalist in Austin, TX

Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity for a BC/BE pediatrician to join our pediatric hospital medicine group at St. David s Children s Hospital in Austin, Texas.

  • Join a collegial team of 5 pediatric hospitalists providing 24/7 in house coverage
  • 10 bed Pediatric Med/Surg unit and 6 bed PICU
  • No requirement for pediatric hospital medicine board certification or eligibility
  • No nursery coverage and no attendance at deliveries
  • Co-management model with multiple subspecialists available including surgery, urology, neurology, infectious diseases, pulmonology, and gastroenterology.
  • We are supported by social work and Child Life specialists
  • Faculty appointment with Texas A&M work with 3rd and 4th year medical students, no residents
  • An ideal candidate will be energetic, team oriented, interested in educating medical students; they should have exceptional communication skills, and be comfortable with medically complex and high acuity patients.
