Job Description AECOM is seeking talented Senior Project Managers to be based in Los Angeles, CA; Orange, CA; Denver, CO; Albuquerque, NM; Murray, UT; Detroit, MI; Grand Rapids, MI; Minneapolis, MN; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Columbus, OH; Cleveland, OH The Senior Project Manager our team is looking for will lead the execution of architecture and design, lead interdisciplinary projects with a focus of serving our clients, and meeting business expectations. The role will be responsible for supporting proposal efforts, managing the client, and execution of the scope, schedule, budget and quality deliverables across the full project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration. Active engagement and support of AECOM's collaborative and iterative design process is essential, along with the desire to seek innovative design solutions while providing unique perspectives on the built environment. The successful candidate will be proactive with strong verbal, organizational and technical skills to effectively manage multi-discipline while also interfacing with clients. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Leading the delivery of project from proposal phase through to client handover. Acts as primary point of contact for Clients and manages the relationship with all stakeholders Collaboratively develop internally and with project stakeholders project guidelines and objectives to define success of a project. Manages all aspects of a project including project needs and requirements, schedule, fees, deliverables, contract terms and conditions, and the like. Accountable for delivering successful projects on behalf of AECOM. Develop and monitor a detailed project plan and technical approaches to track progress and identify shortfalls in a timely manner. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs to minimize risk. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and provide senior management with project updates included status of project budget, deliverables, quality, and client relationship. Perform risk management to minimize negative consequences from risk. Manage and direct professional and technical staff to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Understand how contractual terms and conditions impact the project and manage accordingly Understand business acumen associated with project management and deliver anticipated financial metrics. Coordination of internal and external project team members. Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget to the satisfaction of the client. Ability to clearly and effectively communicate; written, verbal, and presentations. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of varying size and complexity. Will lead project pursuits, including identification of new business opportunities, generation of Scope of Work, project team, fee production, and review of terms and conditions. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Accredited Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Building related Engineering or related field 6 years of experience with an architectural firm or consulting design firm in a building related design field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Preferred Qualifications Architecture Licensure of Professional Engineer Ideal candidate will have 10 or more years of professional experience managing A/E work Experience managing A/E Vertical Design Projects as a consultant. Experience managing projects for a National Government entity or specific market sector Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to effectively manage time Ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects Ability to be client facing, lead client discussions and charrettes Team player with excellent listening skills and diplomacy Understanding of different contract types and alternative delivery methods (Design Build, CMAR, etc.) PMP Certification or strong understanding of project management best practices such as earned value, change management, schedule management. Experience coordinating work with a variety of disciplines: civil, landscape, and MEPS Experience with construction administration and permitting processes Experience capturing work in a key market sector Proactive and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage change effectively Familiarity with design software necessary for deliverable development (i.e. Revit, Autodesk 360, Bluebeam, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Project, Power BI, etc.) Willingness to travel for project needs. Anticipated travel is less than 10% of time. Additional Information Hybrid work environment - Fully remote position not available. Sponsorship is not availble for this opportunity Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $120,000.00 - $176,000.00.
