High School Assistant Principal/AD Nickerson USD 309 • www.usd309ks.org USD 309 seeks a High School Assistant Principal/Activities Director for Nickerson High School for 2025-2026 and beyond. (This position will remain open until filled. Interviews will be conducted as qualified candidates are identified.) General Responsibilities: The Assistant Principal is responsible to assist the High School Principal in all areas of running the building to include: Student Discipline Supervision Teacher Evaluations. All other duties as assigned. Participate as a part of the District Leadership Team. The Athletic Director is responsible for the high-quality performance of the athletics department focused on building, strengthening, and growing the athletic program. Supporting and monitoring the athletics programs at the high school level as well as working with coaches and secretaries to ensure administrative, equipment, safety, and compliance requirements are met. Confirm that all athlete paperwork has been completed. Schedule and coordinate athletic practice and events including but not limited to operational personnel, facilities, transportation, officials, promotions, and equipment. Maintain complete records on the athletic program including eligibility lists, insurance lists, equipment, inventories, awards, roster, finances, physicals events records, etc. Working with the KSHSAA to ensure system compliance in all areas.
