Position Type: Casual Employment/Grounds Crew Date Posted: 10/2/2024 Location: District Center/District Wide, White Bear Lake, MN Winter Seasonal Grounds Workers Salary Range: Casual Non-Affiliated Rates of Pay: Seasonal Grounds Workers (effective 3/15/2023) First Year $15.50 per hour Start Date: Candidates will be reviewed upon submission with selection starting no sooner than five days following the posting. The position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found. Position Summary: General grounds maintenance: mow lawns; weed whip; maintain/install landscaping; empty trash; tree work; irrigation and miscellaneous projects; assist with ball field maintenance; all other duties as assigned. Participate in the routine maintenance and site improvements throughout the school district grounds. Duties include, but are not limited to, the turf and general landscape, athletic field preparation and maintenance, renovation of existing hard scape and various cosmetic improvements as needed. Snow removal ,salting ,snowblowing. Qualifications: Desire to work hard and learn new skills; ability to work well with others as a team; previous lawn care is preferable but not necessary, knowledge of or the ability to learn how to use equipment necessary for general grounds maintenance. Must be 18 years or older to drive district vehicles (trucks, skid steers, field grooming equipment, etc.). Working Conditions : Mostly pleasant weather, but periods of hot and dry, or wet and cold weather conditions can exist. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on occasion. Must be able to walk/stand for a few hours at a time throughout the work day. Ability to work as a group or alone is beneficial.
