The Opportunity
ISMG is seeking an HR Manager to oversee our human resources operations across the North American region. As HR Manager, you will be responsible for implementing HR strategies, handling HR administrative tasks, managing employee relations, assisting with employee performance management, leading talent education and development, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws.

ISMG is seeking an HR Manager to oversee our human resources operations across the North American region. As HR Manager, you will be responsible for implementing HR strategies, handling HR administrative tasks, managing employee relations, assisting with employee performance management, leading talent education and development, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws.

What You'll Be Doing
HR Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
- Conduct workforce planning and talent management to support business growth partnering with department VP and divisional head of TA.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
- Oversee payroll processing and benefits administration.
- Manage HR budgets and expenditures.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
- Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure HR practices are in line with legal requirements, best practices, and organizational objectives.
- Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, managing and resolving complex employee relations issues.
- Document and update employee personnel files and loop in key stakeholders on progressions as necessary for proper compliance and operational purposes.
- Develop and implement employee engagement strategies, manage recognition programs, and organize team building events for enhanced job satisfaction and talent retention.
- Collaborate with leadership to create a culture of appreciation and continuous improvement, fostering a positive work environment through effective communication and engagement initiatives.
- Continuously gauge engagement and satisfaction levels of current talent across the region by conducting regular employee check-ins and surveys and gathering real time feedback.
- Collaborate with TA leadership, executive leadership, and hiring managers to understand staffing needs and development areas for existing talent and contribute to attraction and retention strategies.
- Assist the Talent Acquisition division with calendar coordination for candidate interviews.
- Manage and update onboarding programs to ensure new hires are integrated effectively.
- Collaborate with leadership to define and manage career advancement plans.
- Develop, maintain, and facilitate Learning & Development initiatives to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Manage training programs for employees across all tenure levels including executive leadership, departmental and team management, individual contributor, and new hires.
- Implement performance management systems and tools to effectively evaluate and develop employee performance and productivity.
- Provide coaching and support to managers on performance issues.
- Coordinate performance reviews and feedback sessions.
- Oversee compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness and compliance.
- Conduct market research to benchmark compensation and benefits packages.
- Manage annual salary reviews, annual performance appraisals, and benefit renewals.
What You'll Bring for Success:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of HR experience, HR Certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) is preferred.
- Proven experience in employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.
- Strong knowledge of North American labor laws and regulations, global compliance knowledge is a major plus!
- Must be highly adaptable and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, start-up style environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, SharePoint, and HRIS.
- This role is required to be based on-site at our Princeton, NJ HQ during our standard hours of operation (M-F 8:30am-5:30pm.)
- Flexible work hours may be needed to accommodate different time zones.
- This position may require occasional travel within North America.
