Baltimore Medical System (BMS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Therapist to join the Refugee Health Program (RHP) at our Highlandtown location. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of refugees, asylees, and other ORR eligible populations by providing culturally sensitive behavioral health interventions. The Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) applies specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills in the areas of assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mental, emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders, conditions, and addictions. The LCSW-C participates as an integral member of the Patient care team, collaborating with physicians, clinical staff, patients/ families, RHP Staff and other referral sources from partner agencies.

Demonstrates and develops specialized knowledge and understanding of the patient and his family to respond to their needs for support, information, autonomy, and performance.
  • Student loan repayment eligibility through the National Health Services Corps (NHSC)
  • In-house interpreters are available for Spanish, Arabic, Nepali, French, Dari, Haitian Creole, Burmese, etc. at our Highlandtown location
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an LCSW-C by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Clinical Social Worker, preferably in an underserved community health setting
  • Active CPR certification
