Position Summary
The Consumer Banking Data and Information Analyst is responsible for the aggregation, analysis, and distribution of data related to all Consumer activities. The Analyst will gather data to understand trends affecting Consumer department performance, including sales data, market data, digital adoption data and financial data across all Consumer channels. The Analyst will cultivate positive working relationships with various associates and departments across the Bank, including Corporate Insights and Analysis who will be strong partners in the work of this position. The Analyst will report directly to the President of Consumer and Digital Banking.
Duties & Responsibilities
Through a team-based approach, the Consumer Data and Information Analyst will execute the following: Work collaboratively with members of the Consumer Team, as well as the Corporate Strategy/Projects Team and the other Lines of Business to develop scorecards, dashboards and related reports necessary to track progress made by Consumer channels. Gather, organize, filter and clean data related to the various Consumer and Busey bank wide priorities from primary and secondary data sources. Analyze and interpret data using statistical and non-statistical methods. Identify and interpret patterns or trends in these complex data sets. Populate scorecards, dashboards and related reports with data, confirm accuracy and share final versions with appropriate stakeholders within the scheduled timeframe. Design reporting to support product usage trends, business case development, and profitability and growth metrics. Create ad-hoc reports and queries for end users, as necessary. Work collaboratively with Busey associates, including leaders, on special projects and complete work assignments in a timely manner Education & Experience
Knowledge of: Strong oral and written communication skills Strong analytical skills Ability to: Take independent action within established fields and develop new procedures or approaches to problems as needed Analyze and solve problems based on a wide knowledge of many factors where application of advanced or technical concepts is required. Create comprehensive dashboards and KPIs by analyzing and processing large, complex datasets. Maintain mental concentration and visual attention for variable lengths of time Perform duties and make decisions under frequent time pressures Apply analytical thinking skills to spot trends and anomalies within statistical data. Show proficiency in accounting practices and software. Efficiently learn new computer programs including reporting tools and statistical applications. Collaborate with a team and show strong communication and interpersonal skills. Work and stay organized in a dynamic environment with numerous projects. Education and Training: Bachelor's degree required; focus in Finance, Data Administration or Information Technology preferred. Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Access and Microsoft Power BI Relational database experience with SQL and IBM Cognos is highly desirable.
